How I’d Handle a Nashville Car Crash

It seems like I’m hearing a lot of talk about car accidents and stuff, as of late. “Oh, I just don’t know what I’d do if I were in an accident,” one of my friends said. “I’d just be beside myself with worry and all that.” To which I said, “Really?”

Sure, don’t get me wrong, a car accident is scary and all. Even then, though, it’s not like it’s the end of the world. Really, I think I’d manage it just fine. Even in a big city like Nashville, where I’m currently doing some talks and all that fun stuff, I think I could handle it easily. Here’s how I’d do it, too.

Dealing with the Aftermath

First of all, it’s important to keep your head on straight when you’re dealing with a car accident. Sure, the initial impact is scary, and the other person might be hurt, but you can probably tell pretty quickly what happened and get things together.

First, there’s the police’s accident report. They’ll need to know what happened, and then you’ll need to get medical care. If anything hurts, or even if you just blacked out for a moment, you’ll need to get everything checked out. Plus, getting medical attention shows the insurance company you were hurt at the scene of the accident.

Of course, the insurance company might not be so helpful. Sure, you’ll need to call them either way, but they may not be so willing to help you recover after an accident. Fortunately, you might not need to do more than notify them of the car wreck once you’ve contacted a lawyer.

Legal Representation After a Crash

Once I’d made my calls to the insurance company, talked to the police, and got myself heading toward the hospital? I’d call myself a car crash lawyer in Nashville, and I’d sit back and twiddle my thumbs.

I mean, really, what else am I supposed to do? That’s basically the whole point of hiring a lawyer. They can handle it so I can rest up and feel better. On a more serious note, though, while I may know a lot about car accident law, I’d probably need someone on my side to help. I’m not too proud to admit that, at least.

For example, I know Tennessee has some negligence laws, which state that I could lose part of my compensation if I’m partially at fault. While I know that, it might not be easy to act on it and defend myself. The legal action and evidence I need honestly could be handled just as well by an attorney as by me.

Getting My Settlement

Here comes the best part—getting my settlement or compensation and settling down. That way, I don’t have to worry about my medical expenses or my bills while I get over my injuries.

See, that wasn’t so hard, was it?

Of course, I guess I understand worrying about what happens when someone hits you. It’s scary and all, sure, but it’s not like it’s that hard to sue and get your claim. I could probably file my claim all on my own, if I felt like it. But, I don’t have to do that when I’ve got legal help on my side.

For now, I don’t expect any serious crashes to take me out any time soon, so I’ll just keep up with making sure people like you get the information you need from little old me.
